Brigham Young University's National Middle East Language Resource Center has been funded to offer a 2012 summer Arabic camp. This year's residential camp for high school students begins on July 9 and runs through July 28. We are also offering a day camp on July 18 from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. We invite local students who are studying Arabic to come and experience what the camp is like and enjoy using some of your Arabic skills and learn some new ones. And we invite those who have not yet begun studying Arabic to come see the great opportunities that await them (including preparation that could help them to win a NSLI-Y scholarship, former recipients of which you'll meet at the camp). Both middle and high school students are encouraged to apply.
Camp participants who do not have the option of studying Arabic in their school are strongly encouraged to continue their study via Arabic without Walls, our distance-learning course.
The cost of the one-day camp is $45. Financial aid is available for any for whom this would constitute a hardship (just send us verification that you qualify for free/reduced lunch or download the financial aid application form available at the bottom of the page).
